Australia native Brennan Fyans was born into racing, with his family involved in the sport, and he has worked with horses his whole life including at Darley in Melbourne, Australia, and with trainer Ian Wilkes in the U.S. While working for Wilkes he took horses to many racetracks in the U.S., including Tampa Bay Downs, Churchill Downs, Indiana Downs, Keeneland, Monmouth Park, Belmont Park, and Saratoga, with the highlight leading Giant Finish over to compete in the 139th Kentucky Derby.
