Stellar Wind at the Keeneland November sale, where she sold to Coolmore for $6 million
Stellar Wind was back on the work tab Dec. 3, breezing a half-mile in :50 flat at Palm Meadows Training Center for a possible start in the $16 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) at Gulfstream Park Jan. 27.
After finishing a troubled eighth in the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1), the 5-year-old daughter of Curlin was recently sold to M.V. Magnier for $6 million to top the 2017 Keeneland November sale.
"She is in training with Chad Brown and is under consideration for the Pegasus. The plan is still for her to be bred in the spring," Coolmore's Scott Calder said Sunday.

The Nov. 3 Breeders' Cup Distaff closed out a year in which the 2015 champion 3-year-old filly won three grade 1 events for trainer John Sadler and owner Hronis Racing. She started her year with a 1 1/4-length score in the Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) at Oaklawn Park in April, then defeated Vale Dori by a neck in the Beholder Mile Stakes (G1) in June at Santa Anita Park before again defeating that rival by a narrow margin in the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes (G1) in July at Del Mar.
Bred by Keswick Stables and Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings, Stellar Wind has a 10-2-1 record from 16 starts, with earnings of more than $2.25 million.
