How to Make Money Betting the Pacific Classic

This year’s $1-million Pacific Classic Stakes has lined up a stellar list of contenders.
Three-year-old Shared Belief is looking to stay undefeated while facing older horses for the first time, defending winner Game On Dude will try to prove that he can still run with the best of them, and Toast of New York is out to show his United Arab Emirates Derby win was no fluke.
Aside from Game On Dude, I don’t see any other runner in here that really is a need-the-lead type of horse. Game On Dude likes this track, has been working well and looks to be the true speed of the race. While I do think there are some runners that can be close to the lead early in the race, I don’t think any of them will go out and duel with the Dude.
Shared Belief has done nothing wrong up until now, and it will be interesting to see how close to the pace he will be early on. I think he will be sitting third or fourth while letting a few other runners challenge Game On Dude.
Clubhouse Ride is a consistent runner who always seems to be in the hunt when they hit the top of the stretch. He’s dangerous.
Frac Daddy’s affinity for synthetic surfaces cannot be ignored and he might sit a great stalking trip chasing Game On Dude.
Toast of New York is an interesting import and we know he loves the synthetic surfaces. His UAE Derby in Dubai was visually impressive.
It will all come down to how the pace unfolds early in the race, but I do think Game On Dude will fire a big performance and I will key him in first and second in my bets.
