When Lance Winters gave Michael Jackson a dram of St. George Single Malt, the legendary whiskey writer said, “That’s interesting.” As Winters recalls, the sentiment was not on the positive side of interesting.
“He was here visiting the distillery, taking note of our unusual place,” Winters says. “He had to say something and didn’t want to be outright insulting.”
