Stephanie's Kitten to be Offered at F-T Sale

Ken and Sarah Ramsey plan to offer multiple grade I winner Stephanie's Kitten and grade III victress Kitten Kaboodle at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale. The sale is set for Nov. 3 in Lexington.
 
Both are homebred daughters of 2013 leading general sire and turf sire Kitten's Joy  , who stands at the couple's Ramsey Farm near Nicholasville, Ky. He currently leads this season's turf sires list and ranks third among general sires. 
 
Stephanie's Kitten is a two-time grade I winner and an earner of more than $1.9 million. The 5-year-old mare, accomplished on turf and synthetic, has a 7-4-2 record from 17 career starts. Her victories include the 2013 Longines Just a Game Stakes (gr. IT) at Belmont Park and 2011 Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. I) on Polytrack at Keeneland, and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. IIT) at Churchill Downs. She also placed second or third in four other grade I races.
 
Stephanie's Kitten posted close runner-up finishes in her two most recent starts, both grade I turf races: the Aug. 16 Beverly D. Stakes, three-quarters of a length behind Euro Charline, at Arlington International Racecourse; and the July 16 TVG Diana Stakes, just a neck behind Somali Lemonade at Saratoga Race Course
 
Stephanie's Kitten is out of the unraced Catienus   mare Unfold the Rose, a daughter of 1995 Del Mar Oaks (gr. I) winner Bail Out Becky, who was the Ramseys' first grade I winner.
 
Three-year-old Kitten Kaboodle, produced from the winning Grand Slam mare Easy Slam, has a win and two seconds from six starts, all on turf. She captured the 2013 JPMorgan Chase Jessamine Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Keeneland and has bankrolled $129,000 in two seasons.
