The Jim Stable's Ben's Cat will seek his third victory in the $300,000 Turf Monster Handicap (gr. IIIT) when the race is run again Sept. 1 at Parx Racing in Pennsylvania.

The Turf Monster, at five furlongs, is one of four stakes on a 12-race card that begins at 12:25 p.m. EDT. The others are the $300,000 Smarty Jones Stakes (gr. III), $200,000 Greenwood Cup (gr. III), and $200,000 Turf Amazon Handicap.

Ben's Cat, trained by King Leatherbury and to be ridden by Julian Pimentel, is the co-highweight at 123 pounds along with Tightend Touchdown. California invader Private Zone is listed at 120 pounds in the 11-horse field.

In his last start July 12 Ben's Cat won the Parx Dash (gr. IIIT) for the third year in a row. His victories in the Turf Monster came in 2011 and 2012; last year the 8-year-old Parker's Storm Cat   gelding finished third behind Stormofthecentury, who is entered again this year, and Tightend Touchdown.

Ben's Cat, who has earned $2,105,990 for owner/breeder Leatherbury and partners, has won 27 (22 stakes) of 41 starts. He will break from post 7 in the Turf Monster, the 11th race on the program.
