Withers Named to Fair Grounds Racing Position

Howard "H" Withers, the OTB and casino operations manager for Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots' 11 off-track betting facilities in the New Orleans metropolitan area, has been named general manager of racing at the Louisiana track.
Withers previously served as assistant general manager of Thistledown Racetrack in Ohio and in various roles with AmTote International, a systems software and hardware provider for pari-mutuel wagering.
"We are confident that his background, familiarity with the Louisiana and national racing scenes, and customer relationship-based approach will result in a successful tenure as our racing leader," said Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots president Tim Bryant.
