Weather Cancels Opening Program at Zia Park

The opening day program for 10th anniversary season at Zia Park was canceled due to inclement weather in Hobbs, N.M., on Saturday, Sept. 6, the track announced.
Live racing resumes Sunday, Sept. 7, with first post at 12:15 p.m. The 2014 season runs until Dec. 2.
Sunday's $75,000 Premiere Cup Handicap will be the first of 33 stakes races offered during the 56-day meet.
