Description:

Unbeaten in four starts, Conquest Tsunami makes his graded stakes debut for trainer Mark Casse in the $200,000 Summer Stakes (Can-IIT) on the Woodbine turf Sept. 13.

Nine 2-year-olds are entered in Saturday's one-mile Summer, a "Win & You're In" event with a guaranteed fees-paid berth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. IT) at stake. The Summer, in which all entrants are to carry 122 pounds, is race 9 on the card with a 5:07 p.m. EDT scheduled start.

Owned by Conquest Stables, Conquest Tsunami comes off a front-running allowance victory at seven furlongs by a head in his turf debut Aug. 23 at Woodbine. His prior three wins came on Polytrack surfaces by a combined margin of nearly 21 lengths. He broke his maiden at first asking at Keeneland in April and followed that with victories in the listed Victoria and Colin stakes at Woodbine.

All of his previous wins came in front-running style as a heavy favorite.

The son of Stormy Atlantic  , a $190,000 Keeneland September yearling buy from the Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency consignment at the 2013 Keeneland September yearling sale, is to be ridden by Corey Nakatani from post 4. Conquest Tsunami is the 7-5 morning line choice.

Casse, who won the Summer for the first time last year with Conquest Stables' My Conquestadory, also entered maiden Conquest Typhoon for the same owners. Another son of Stormy Atlantic, Conquest Typhoon was scratched out of the Swynford Stakes Sept. 7 to run here.

A $330,000 Keeneland September purchase, Conquest Typhoon was beaten by a neck when second in his turf debut versus maidens at Woodbine Aug. 3. Patrick Husbands has the call on the 6-1 shot who breaks from post 5.

The major threat to the Casse duo could come from Peter Deutsch's Saratoga Dreamer, debut maiden winner over New York-breds at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 20 going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf. Trained by Christophe Clement, the Elusive Quality   colt came from off the pace to score by 2 1/4 lengths as a slight favorite in his only start. Emma-Jayne Wilson picks up the mount on the 5-2 morning line hope, who has the rail post.

Also likely to draw attention is another son of Stormy Atlantic, Tucci Stable's Imperial Dream, making is turf debut after going 2-for-2 over the Polytrack to begin his career. Trained by Nick Gonzalez, Imperial Dream won the Vandal Stakes most recently by nearly two lengths while ridden out Aug. 16.

Samuel Dechamplain, an Ontario-bred son of Henrythenavigator, broke his maiden on the Woodbine lawn at seven furlongs by 2 1/4 lengths Aug. 17.
