Traditional and Trendy Track Fashion for Fall

Description:

We all know how hard the transition from Summer to Fall can be. The hours of daylight lessen, the workload increases, and the weather gets cooler. Eventually you'll have to store away all those great summer outfits that you wore at the races and take out your essential fall items.
Switching styles from season to season can be a great opportunity to try out new fashion trends or to keep it classic and traditional. As the months begin to get chilly, here are two different styles that will keep you warm and stylish at the races. (You can even mix and match these styles for the win!)
Traditional at the Track:

To me, this outfit is the epitome of fall. It's classic and full of layers to keep you warm in the mornings to watch horses exercise at Santa Anita or on a crisp October day of racing at Keeneland. There's nothing more comfortable than a sweater dress, and this gray cable knit weather provide great details with its pleating. Riding boots are a fall must have and compliment the dress perfectly. The lightweight quilted vest by Joules is great for an extra layer of warmth and the Longchamp shoulder bag provides the right pop of color in red. My favorite piece of this outfit has to be the horse scarf, which I personally own, and think should be in every filly's closet!

Trendy at the Track:

This outfit embraces the change of seasons and also the change of fashion at the races! I was immediately drawn to the two-tone ankle boots. They would look great with a cute pair of skinny jeans, or with the floral bodycon dress as I've pair it with in this ensemble. The tan vest keeps the outfit balanced with its sharp lines and coordinates nicely with the lighter tone of the ankle boot. Over the shoulder satchels are in this fall, and I love the buckle and details on this leather bag. Throw a pop of color with a light scarf, and you're off!
