Stopshoppingdebbie, Northwest Farm's undefeated homebred daughter of Curlin  , will make her first start outside Washington state when she goes postward in the LA Woman Stakes (gr. III) at Santa Anita Park on Oct. 4.

The 4-year-old filly who has won all nine career starts, all at Emerald Downs, has been shipped to California to prep for the LA Woman at 6 1/2 furlongs. Trainer Tom Wenzel said the LA Woman will serve as the final prep for the Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) for Stopshoppingdebbie.

Wenzel said he and Northwest owner Here Paxton opted for the LA Woman after also considering the Zenyatta (gr. I), a Sept. 27 1 1/16-mile test at Santa Anita that is a Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" qualifying race.

After breaking her maiden, Stopshoppingdebbie reeled off eight consecutive stakes victories and has attracted a wide following, especially in Washington. In her most recent effort, the Kentucky-bred filly gamely held off a stiff challenge from stablemate Goin to the Window for a half-length victory in the $65,000 Emerald Distaff.
