Super Saturday at Belmont Park is the New York track’s first major day of fall racing, and showing up in style is a fun way to celebrate autumn in the Big Apple. Of course, if you want to bet and sample a few cocktails at the track, it’s a lot easier to do with some extra change in your pocket; so I’ve come up with four chic city ensembles that won’t break the bank.

There’s something so classic about a red dress, and the saturated crimson color is perfect for fall. This version from Style Moi is $52, and I paired it with some $56 Black Five pumps. The hat is $28 from JC Penney, the handbag is $38 from Black Five, and the oversized sunglasses are just $9.95 from Freyers. Add a pair of $48 Kate Spade earrings, a $14 watch from Nasty Gal and a ladylike pair of gloves for $33 by Warmen for Amazon and you’re ready for the races for just $268.95.

I love a fitted blazer – they up the style factor on almost any outfit, and they’re great staples to have in your wardrobe. This version is $50 from Pilot Fashion, and it does perfectly with the $24 polka dot skirt from Style Moi. A simple tank ($28, Monsoon) showcases a statement necklace for $18 from JC Penney. Simple gold know earrings ($20, Sole Society) an emerald green handbag ($38, Yes Style) and a pair of T-strap mary janes ($36, Styleluxe) complete the ensemble, bringing the total to $196. Not bad!

I love jewel tones for fall, and I really love wrap dresses because they flatter nearly everyone’s shape. So I may actually have to purchase this dress, an Altuzarra for Target number that’s only $40. I’m obsessed with the fringe sash detail, and the cut looks lovely. I added a big statement necklace for $35 from Nasty Gal, a pair of python pumps (those chunky heels are both comfortable and making a big fashion comeback – hooray! ‘90s girls the world over rejoice) for $49 from Michael Antonio. The bracelet is $12 from BooHoo.com, the aviators are $19 from Betsey Johnson and the cobalt bag is $30 from Body Central. All together, this look costs just $185.

Our final look is a little edgier, but still a stylish and appropriate look for a day at the races. I started with a basic pair of black pants ($24, Black Five) and added a killer pair of over-the-knee boots for $47 by Wanted. The geometric shirt has a cape-like quality and is just $18 from Black Five. I added a basket weave handbag ($33, 2020 Ave.) that mimics the blouse’s pattern and topped it off with a positively gigantic pair of sunglasses for $9.99 from 11Foxy. Throw on a coat of this black nail polish – how can you resist the skull bottle?! – by Blackheart for $4 and you’re off to the races for just $135.99. What’s not to love?
