One of a group of major stakes races on both coasts, the $300,000 Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita has brought some of the best horses in California together as they vie for a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
The field will be gunning for the undefeated Shared Belief, who is coming off of the Aug. 24 Pacific Classic, his first graded stakes victory against older horses. If he can win the Awesome Again, Shared Belief will take another step towards the 3-year-old male championship. Shared Belief is currently one of the horses in discussion for an Eclipse award, currently ranking second in the NTRA Media Poll.
