Mia Mischief will look to register another stellar effort against stakes company when she takes aim at the $150,000 Victory Ride Stakes (G3) for 3-year-old fillies July 8 at Belmont Park.

Owned by Heiligbrodt, Heiligbrodt, Heider Family Stables, and Madaket Stables, Mia Mischief has four wins and three runner-up finishes in seven starts for trainer Steve Asmussen.

The daughter of Into Mischief  has won three of her last four starts, including the Eight Belles Stakes presented by Kentucky Trailer (G2) May 4 at Churchill Downs. The only time in that stretch she did not earn a trip to the winner's circle was when Amy's Challenge caught her at the wire to win by a neck in the Dixie Belle Stakes Jan. 20 at Oaklawn Park.

Peter Deutsch's Take Charge Paula has posted solid performance in routes as well as shorter races. She started her campaign with a 3 1/2-length win in the Feb. 3 Forward Gal Stakes (G3) at seven furlongs at Gulfstream Park. The Kiaran McLaughlin trainee was also competitive when stretched out. She finished second in the Davona Dale Stakes (G2) at one mile March 3 at Gulfstream and also finished as the runner-up in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) at 1 1/16 miles March 31.

Those efforts earned the daughter of Take Charge Indy a start in the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1), where she set the pace for a half-mile before she abruptly stopped heading into the second turn and finished last of 14. She cut back in distance in her last start, when she came in third in the six-furlong Jersey Girl Stakes June 10.

"Anything six to seven (furlongs) is great for her," McLaughlin said ahead of the 6 1/2-furlong Victory Ride. "We're happy she's doing well, and we'll hope for the best. Last time she was very wide, so this time we're going back to a shorter distance, and I think it should help."

Separationofpowers, trained by Chad Brown, is slated to make her first start since a fourth-place finish in the 14 Hands Winery Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) Nov. 4 at Del Mar. The daughter of Candy Ride  won her debut before a third in the Spinaway Stakes (G1) Sept. 2 at Saratoga Race Course.

She then captured the Oct. 8 Frizette Stakes (G1) by 3 1/2 lengths over eventual Juvenile Fillies winner and divisional champion Caledonia Road at Belmont but was off the board in the Breeders' Cup.
