Justify to Parade at Del Mar

Fans at Del Mar will get a chance to see Justify parade as he did at Santa Anita Park and Churchill Downs
Triple Crown winner Justify, who has taken up residence on the Del Mar backstretch this summer, will parade for fans at the track July 28 following the fourth race on the Saturday card. His appearance will take place at approximately 3:40 p.m. PDT.
The chestnut son of Scat Daddy is expected to tour the paddock several times, then walk through the tunnel to the racetrack. From there he'll walk west in front of the Stretch Run section to an area roughly midway between the eighth and sixteenth poles. Next he'll turn back and walk east in front of the Clubhouse/Turf Club area to the seven-furlong gap, where he'll exit the track. Additional details about his appearance will be released Wednesday afternoon.
Also on Saturday, Hall of Fame rider Mike Smith—who guided the colt through his Triple Crown triumphs—will conduct an autograph session for the fans from noon to 1 p.m. in the Plaza de Mexico at Del Mar.
