Description:

Conquest Tsunami, who won his career debut in the spring on the former Polytrack at Keeneland, will make his second start at the track Oct. 5 with a still unblemished record in the $250,000 Dixiana Bourbon Stakes (gr. III).

Conquest Stables' (Ernie Semersky and Dory Newell) 2-year-old Conquest Tsunami won his first three career races on Polytrack at Keeneland and Woodbine by a combined 20 3/4 lengths, including a pair of stakes races at Woodbine. The son of Stormy Atlantic   enters Sunday's 1 1/16-mile turf race for juveniles off a head victory in an Aug. 23 allowance race at Woodbine, his career turf debut.

Trainer Mark Casse has prepared Conquest Tsunami for the Bourbon with a pair of sharp works on the Churchill Downs main track, including a Sept. 22 bullet move of four furlongs in 1:00 2/5. Julien Leparoux will pick up the mount on Conquest Tsunami.

Conquest Tsunami also is entered in the Oct. 4 Claiborne Breeders' Futurity (gr. I) on the Keeneland main track.

Awaiting Conquest Tsunami will be Ol Memorial Stable's Croninthebarbarian, a son of Stroll   who improved to 2-for-2 in turf races with a two-length score in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Stakes Sept. 6. Trained by Garry Simms, Croninthebarbarian will be stretching out after his clear victory in the seven-furlong test.

The field's other stakes winner is also its most experienced starter, Less Than Perfect, who enters off a victory in the Fitz Dixon Jr. Memorial Juvenile Stakes on the synthetic surface at Presque Isle Downs. Clyde Rice's Pleasantly Perfect   colt has won two of his seven career starts and finished fourth in the Summer Stakes (Can-IIT) over the Woodbine turf.

Trainer Chad Brown has entered a pair of promising colts off of maiden victories. Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence's Can't Happen Here, a son of Desert Party  , won his debut Aug. 16 going 1 1/16 miles at Saratoga Race Course. Ken and Sarah Ramsey's Chief Kitten, by Kitten's Joy  , closed from ninth to win a race for New York-breds Sept. 14 at Belmont Park by 2 1/2 lengths.
