Grade 3 winner Sassy Sienna looks to regain her sharp winter form, and Gio Game chases her first graded win Aug. 18 in the $100,000 Monmouth Oaks (G3) at Monmouth Park.

The 1 1/16-mile Monmouth Oaks drew a field of nine 3-year-old fillies and is slated as race 10 on a 12-race card. 

A solid contender in four Oaklawn Park races from January to April, the Brad Cox-trained Sassy Sienna won the April 13 Fantasy Stakes (G3) and earned a spot in the May 4 Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1), where she finished sixth. She is assigned the high weight of 123 pounds and comes into the Monmouth Oaks off a seventh in the July 5 Iowa Oaks (G3) at Prairie Meadows. 

China Horse Club International, Medallion Racing, Lazaruk, Zayat Stables, and McClanahan campaign the Midshipman  filly, who will be ridden by Paco Lopez from post 8.

Gio Game, a daughter of Gio Ponti  owned by John Oxley, brings in a 2-3-2 record from nine starts for trainer Mark Casse. Her only off-the-board finishes came with a ninth in the 14 Hands Winery Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) as a 2-year-old and a fifth-place finish in her most recent start, the July 22 Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) at Saratoga Race Course. She was also third in the June 9 Acorn Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park.

Repole Stable's Mo Shopping comes in off a third-place finish in the July 7 Delaware Oaks (G3) for trainer Todd Pletcher. Blue Union Rags, fourth in that race for trainer Jason Servis, is also entered.
