Description:

Swynford Stakes winner Conquest Boogaloo will stretch out to a route for the first time when he faces an expected 10 other Canadian-bred juveniles in the $250,000 Cup and Saucer Stakes Oct. 12 at Woodbine.

Conquest Stables’ Conquest Boogaloo enters off a pair of victories at seven furlongs on the Woodbine Polytrack, including a two-length score in his most recent start, the Swynford Sept. 7. Trained by Mark Casse, the Scat Daddy   colt has worked twice at Woodbine since that winning effort.

Bred in Ontario by James and Janeane Everatt, Arika Everatt-Meuse, and Tim Meuse, Conquest Boogaloo sold to his current owners for $190,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September yearling sale, where he was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

Conquest Boogaloo is one of eight entrants in the 1 1/16-mile Cup and Saucer making their turf debuts. The race, the eighth on the Sunday program with a 4:37 p.m. ET scheduled post, is contested around one turn on the E.P. Taylor Turf Course.

The field also includes Eaton Hall Farm homebred Samuel Dechamplain, who enters off a runner-up finish to Conquest Typhoon in the Summer Stakes (Can-IIT) Sept. 13, on yielding turf at Woodbine. The son of Henrythenavigator defeated maidens in his second start Aug. 17 at seven furlongs on the turf at Woodbine.

The other grass winner in the field is Benjamin Jutzel's Passion for Action, who defeated Conquest Typhoon by a neck at six furlongs on good turf Aug. 3. The Mike De Paulo-trained son of Speightstown   returned Aug. 23 in an allowance tilt at seven furlongs on a good Woodbine turf, missing by a head when second to Conquest Tsunami.
