An outstanding field of 11 3-year-olds, including one filly, are set for the 1 1/4 mile, $1.25 million Travers Stakes this Saturday, Aug. 25 at 4:00 p.m. ET on the live NBC broadcast from historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The two-hour program is a part of the "Breeders' Cup Challenge Series: Win and You're In - Presented by America's Best Racing."
The broadcast will also include live coverage of the $1 million, 1 1/2 mile Sword Dancer Stakes, an automatic "Win and You're In" qualifier for the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf, and the $600,000, 7 furlong Forego, a "Win and You're In" for the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile.
Saturday's show is the seventh of 11 telecasts in the "Breeders' Cup Challenge Series: Win and You're In, presented by America's Best Racing," on NBC and NBCSN, featuring 17 "Win and You're In" races plus other major stakes on the road to the Breeders' Cup World Championships on NBC and NBCSN from some of America's most iconic racetracks. Laffit Pincay III hosts Saturday's telecast, joined by analysts Randy Moss and Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey, analyst/handicapper Eddie Olczyk, and reporters Britney Eurton and Kenny Rice.
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) also will broadcast the Travers live from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM 93 and streaming at www.horseracingradio.net.
