The Breeders’ Cup, in conjunction with the Breeders’ Cup Festival and the Kentucky Derby Museum, will honor D. Wayne Lukas, who transformed his skills as high school basketball coach in Wisconsin to become the greatest winning trainer in Breeders’ Cup history, with the Breeders’ Cup Sports and Racing Excellence Award on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville.
