The Breeders' Cup announced Oct. 13 a partnership with Las Vegas for the Breeders' Cup World Championships, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif.

As part of the agreement, Las Vegas will have multiple commercial units in the NBC Sports Network's telecast of the Breeders' Cup. Las Vegas will also have an on-site branding presence, including signage at the finish line, in the winner's circle and the paddock during the two-day event. In addition, Las Vegas will be promoted on the Breeders' Cup website.

"We are thrilled to partner with a 'best-in-class' marketer in Las Vegas, one of the world's greatest entertainment destinations," said Craig Fravel, Breeders' Cup president and CEO. "This agreement allows both organizations to capitalize on the natural synergies and like-minded customer fan bases so attractive to both Las Vegas and its close proximity to the Los Angeles area."

"Las Vegas and Breeders' Cup are two of the most recognizable brands in the world," said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "This partnership will provide visitors and fans unrivaled excitement during this year's World Championships, proving that no destination matches the passion and energy of Breeders' Cup like Las Vegas."
