Vision Perfect heads to the winner's circle after the Parx Dash at Parx Racing

With his first graded stakes win under his belt, Vision Perfect aims to build on his late-blooming form when the 6-year-old horse faces seven challengers in the $300,000 Turf Monster Stakes (G3T) at Parx Racing Sept. 3.

After failing to win in seven tries against graded company, Vision Perfect put it all together last time out, edging Pool Winner by a nose in the Parx Dash Stakes (G3T) July 7. The son of Pollard's Vision  snapped a 10-race losing skid in March when he captured the Silks Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park over a field that included graded stakes winner Bucchero but finished sixth in his subsequent outing in the Twin Spires Turf Sprint Stakes presented by Twinspires.com (G3T) at Churchill Downs May 4.

Trained by Jason Servis and owned by Mr. Amore Stable, Vision Perfect was able to put himself in the mix early in the Parx Dash, advancing on an outside path coming into the turn to bear down on Pool Winner. He has six wins from 29 career starts and $612,784 in earnings.

Bucchero heads into the five-furlong Turf Monster seeking to halt a six-race losing skid that has piled up since taking the Woodford Stakes Presented by Keeneland Select (G2T) in October. The son of Kantharos  will be making his first start since a trip to Royal Ascot, where he finished fifth in the June 19 Kings Stand Stakes (G1).

The consistent Pure Sensation enters off a third-place finish in the Parx Dash. Trained by Christophe Clement, the Zensational gelding hasn't won since capturing last year's Turf Monster but has put in some admirable runs, including a third-place finish in the Jaipur Invitational Stakes (G2T) June 9. That Parx Dash third marked the first time in five starts on the course Pure Sensation didn't earn a trip to the winner's circle.

Monday's Parx card also will feature a field of seven for the $200,000 Greenwood Cup Stakes (G3) going 1 1/2 miles. Graded stakes winner War Story looks to rebound from a 10th-place finish in the July 7 Suburban Stakes (G2).
