Racing stewards in Indiana have found no riding infractions in the Oct. 14 spill in a race at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in which apprentice jockey Juan Saez died.
Indiana Horse Racing Commission Senior Steward Stan Bowker told The Indianapolis Star on Oct. 17 that the three-member board of stewards found the death of Saez was ''an unfortunate accident.''

The board handed over its findings to the Indiana Horse Racing Commission after reviewing videotapes of the race at the Shelbyville track.
Saez was thrown from Montezuma Express while rounding a turn during the eighth race Tuesday. Bowker said Saez's horse inadvertently clipped the heels of the horse in front of him.
Saez, 17, a native of Panama, died the night of Oct. 14 from injuries he sustained in the spill.
