Grade 2 winner and second-crop sire Corfu has been sold and relocated to Duncan Farms near Warsaw, Ohio.
The 7-year-old son of Malibu Moon out of the winning Forest Wildcat mare Fashion Cat stood this year at Bridlewood Farm near Ocala, Fla., where the stallion entered stud in 2014.
Corfu is sixth on Florida's leading second-crop sire list with $493,299 in progeny earnings for the year. The sire has been represented by 12 winners out of 19 starters in 2018.
"I love the A.P. Indy sire line, and he was a fine individual on the track," said Daryl Duncan of Duncan Farms. "The whole family has done quite well.
"He's built a lot like his sire, with a wide chest and square hips. He is totally built for speed," Duncan continued. "With most of our races under seven furlongs, you have got to have speed, so I think he'll bring a lot to the Ohio program."
Corfu, winner of the 2013 Saratoga Special Stakes (G2), is a half brother to graded-placed winner New York Central (by Tapit ) and stakes-placed winner Runway Ready (Mr. Greeley). The sire's dam is a half sister to multiple grade 1 winner and sire Peace Rules (Jules).
Flashing Diamond is Corfu's leading earner. The 3-year-old filly out of Genuine Diamond (Halo's Image) has won six times and been second three times out of 14 starts. She has earned $101,290 so far.
Corfu will stand for $1,500 in 2019.
