Winx, who took the TAB Turnbull Stakes (G1) Oct. 6 at Flemington to win her 28th consecutive race, retains her top placing in the eighth edition of the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings for 2018.
Ahead of the latest ratings, which run through Oct. 7 races, Roaring Lion also won again, this time the Kentucky-bred defeated familiar rival Saxon Warrior in the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes (G1) during Longines Irish Champions Weekend.
Meanwhile, off of one race in 11 months, Enable became the seventh horse to win the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) in back to back years and just the eighth to win it twice.
The highest-ranked U.S.-based horse continues to be Gun Runner , in second with a rating of 129. He was retired after earning that ranking in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) earlier this year. The highest-ranked active U.S.-based horse is Accelerate , who is ranked sixth with a rating of 126.
