Grade 2 winner and second-crop sire Anthony's Cross  was acquired by David Chase and Rick Taylor to stand at Taylor's Special T Thoroughbreds, near Temecula, Calif., for the 2019 breeding season, the farm announced Oct. 8.

The 10-year-old son of Indian Charlie is one of two graded stakes winners produced by the Unbridled daughter Screening, who is also the dam of grade 3 winner and graded stakes producer Fugitive Angel. Anthony's Cross's second dam, Recording, is a graded stakes winner and the dam of three black-type winners and two stakes-placed winners, including multiple graded stakes winner Smart Bid.

To date, Indian Charlie has been represented by 83 black-type winners and eight champions worldwide.

Bred by George Strawbridge Jr., Anthony's Cross raced primarily for Arianne De Kwiatkowski. He broke his maiden at 2 and as a sophomore he went on to win the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G2) and place in the Sham Stakes (G3).

As a sire standing at Pleasant Acres Stallions, Anthony's Cross is currently among Florida's top 10 second-crop sires. Represented this year by seven winners out of 15 starters, his top runner is stakes-placed winner Yeehaw, who led through much of the FTBOA Florida Sire In Reality Stakes but was passed just before the wire by multiple stakes winner Noble Drama.

Anthony's Cross will stand for $2,500 live foal.
