After months of prep races for the Breeders’ Cup, top trainers and horses have put in their final works for the championship.
Many of the major Breeders’ Cup contenders put in final works over the weekend both at Santa Anita and at tracks across the country as they prepare for the biggest American race meet of the year.

While workouts aren’t everything, they do give us an idea of how horses are coming into their respective races. A bad workout could indicate trouble for the horse or just show that the trainer wanted to stretch their legs a little bit. Throwing out a horse because it had a bad work today isn't recommended but if you want more feedback about a work, is worth it to look up what those that saw the work are saying. Be aware that you may see many different opinions on the same work, different people look for different things so a work that may have loked good to one person could worry another. Remember, it may be a big race weekend, but many trainers approach the Breeders’ Cup just like they do with any other race when it comes to training their horses.
