Darby Dan Farm has set 2019 stud fees for its roster of nine stallions, headed by Dialed In and Shackleford , who are both among the top 10 third-crop sires of 2018.
Dialed In will remain at a fee of $25,000, stands and nurses, and Shackleford will also remain at $20,000 S&N. Poseidon's Warrior will join the roster for 2019 for $6,500 S&N.
Dialed In, a son of Mineshaft , tied for leading second-crop sire by black-type winners in 2017 with seven. He is the sire of multiple graded stakes winner Gunnevera, who has earned more than $3 million. Gunnevera is targeting the Nov. 3 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), finished second in this year's Woodward Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1), and third in the Jan. 27 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1).
Dialed In is also the sire of the 2018 Barbara Fritchie Stakes (G2) winner Ms Locust Point, as well as stakes winners Chalon and The Tabulator.
Shackleford, a son of Forestry, is the sire of nine black-type horses in 2018, including the grade 1-winning 3-year-old Promises Fulfilled.
Winner of the H. Allen Jerkens Handicap Presented by Runhappy (G1) and Amsterdam Stakes (G2) at Saratoga Race Course, Promises Fulfilled most recently added the Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes (G2) at Keeneland and captured the Xpressbet Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park in March. He is expected to make his next start in the TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1).
Darby Dan will once again be offering various incentive programs in 2019 to provide value to breeders, including Profit Protection, Share the Upside, Black-Type Bonanza, Goldmine 20/20 Match Program, and Breed Secure.
