Girvin, Ami's Flatter Join Ocala Stud Roster

Girvin , who will stand his first season for $7,500, leads the 2019 Ocala Stud stallion roster, alongside Uncaptured —Florida's leading first-crop sire and a top-10 leader nationally—and The Big Beast , who has first yearlings of 2018. Both will remain at a $6,000 fee.

Girvin, a leading 3-year-old of 2017, captured that year's Betfair.com Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) and scored back-to-back victories in the Risen Star Stakes (G2) and the Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby (G2) before starting in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) as the top point earner on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.

A 4-year-old son of Tale of Ekati , Girvin is out of the Malibu Moon  mare Catch the Moon and is a half brother to 2015 Iroquois Stakes (G3) winner Cocked and Loaded. He was retired with a 4-3-0 record from 10 starts and bankrolled $1,624,392.

Uncaptured, a six-time stakes-winning millionaire and Canadian champion 2-year-old, is represented in his first crop by Catherinethegreat, a 4 1/4-length winner of the Schuylerville Stakes (G3) at Saratoga Race Course, and Capture Your Dream, decisive winner of the FTBOA Florida Sire Desert Vixen Stakes.

Ketel One King's Bishop Stakes (G1) winner The Big Beast, a son of Yes It's True, will be represented by his first 2-year-olds on the track in 2019.

Joining Girvin as a new addition to the 13-stallion roster for the upcoming breeding season is Ami's Flatter , who will stand for $3,500. The son of Flatter  won the 2016 Commonwealth Stakes (G3) at Keeneland. The 6-year-old stallion is out of the Victory Gallop mare Galloping Ami, who was named Broodmare of the Year in Canada in 2016.
