Grade 1 winner Jersey Town  will stand the 2019 breeding season at Daehling Ranch near Elk Grove, Calif., as the property of Charles Fipke, for a fee of $3,000, live foal guaranteed.

The 12-year-old son of Speightstown  out of multiple grade 1 winner Jersey Girl entered stud at Darby Dan Farm in Kentucky in 2013 before moving to Road's End Farm in British Columbia for the 2018 breeding season. He is currently Canada's third-leading sire with progeny earnings of nearly US$2 million.

Jersey Town is a multiple graded stakes winner of $819,668. The Fipke homebred finished in the money in 17 of 21 starts and won or placed in nine graded stakes. He earned a 120 Equibase Speed Figure while defeating four grade 1 winners in the Hill 'n' Dale Cigar Mile Handicap (G1) and placed twice in the Forego Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course.

"Mr. Fipke has foals by Jersey Town from some top mares still to come and will be supporting the horse in California as well, so Jersey Town represents a great opportunity for breeders to participate in a stallion with a lot of future upside," said Sid Fernando, president of Werk Thoroughbred Consultants and an adviser to Fipke.

Jersey Town's first foals are 4-year-olds of 2018, and he has already sired earners of more than $3.2 million and nine stakes horses from his first three crops to race, led by grade 1 winner Bee Jersey . This year, Bee Jersey earned a 118 Equibase Speed Figure in the Runhappy Metropolitan Handicap (G1), which he won in 1:33.13. Bee Jersey was recently retired and will enter stud next year at Darby Dan.

In the commercial markets, Jersey Town's sales yearlings have averaged more than $32,000, with his top seller bringing $500,000. His 2-year-olds averaged more than $55,000, and his top seller brought $250,000 to date.
