Bob Neumeier Hospitalized After a Stroke

Boston sports broadcaster and racing analyst Bob Neumeier was hospitalized Oct. 29 after reportedy suffering a stroke, according to the Boston Globe.

Neumeier, who for years was partnered with fellow commentator and handicapper Mike Battaglia on NBC Sports' racing coverage, has worked as an anchor at Comcast SportsNet New England since December 2010.

He has been part of the Boston sports media industry for more than 30 years, having made his name as a sports reporter and anchor for Channel 4 for 20 years. He also co-hosted a midday show on WEEI for a time.

Comcast SportsNet New England issued a statement that included: "[We] are keeping Neumy and his family in our thoughts and prayers."
