Graded stakes-placed Dolphus , a half brother to Horse of the Year and Hall of Famer Rachel Alexandra, will head to Cabin Creek Farm in Bernville, Pa., to stand for the 2019 breeding season, the farm announced Nov. 7.

A son of Lookin At Lucky , Dolphus was a debut maiden winner for owner Dede McGehee and trainer Joe Sharp. He went on to win or place in half of his 12 starts, which included a runner-up finish—a neck behind dual grade 1 winner Shaman Ghost —in the Pimlico Special Handicap (G3) at Pimlico Race Course when he was trained by Jimmy Jerkens. He retired with a record of 4-1-1. He last raced in July 2017.

"On behalf of everyone at Cabin Creek Farm, we are delighted to introduce Dolphus to the Mid-Atlantic region," said Cabin Creek general manager Maria Vorhauer. "We would like to thank Dr. Dede McGehee for entrusting us with Dolphus and for making this great addition to the Pennsylvania breeding program.

"Dolphus exudes quality and class and has a great mind. He is very balanced and correct, and I feel like he will be very well-received."

Dolphus was bred in Kentucky by Heaven Trees Farm out of the Roar mare Lotta Kim and will stand his first season at Cabin Creek alongside Airoforce , Red Vine , and Unfettered .

The 5-year-old stallion will stand for a fee of $2,500 stands and nurses. Special consideration will be given to mares foaling in Pennsylvania.
