

McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds announced its fees for the 2019 breeding season, led by New York's leading 2-year-old sire of 2018 Central Banker , whose fee has been set at $7,500 live foal.
The grade 1-placed, grade 2-winning son of champion sprinter Speightstown surpassed $1.02 million in progeny earnings last year, which was the highest for a New York-bred freshman crop since City Zip's in 2005, when his first crop earned more than $1.06 million. City Zip was relocated to Lane's End in Kentucky in 2005 where he died in 2017.
Central Banker's chief earner is Bankit, who won the Sleep Hollow Stakes by 5 3/4 lengths and was second in both the Remington Springboard Mile Stakes and Funny Cide Stakes on his way to earning $329,625. Central Banker ranks fourth among all freshman sires and Bankit is the leading money-winning colt by a first crop stallion in 2018.
Teuflesberg , the sire of 2012 champion sprinter Trinniberg, is a top five New York sire by lifetime average earnings at $60,540 and he will stand for $5,000 this year.
New York's leading second-crop sire Forty Tales will stand for $3,000 this year. The son of Tale of the Cat had 11 winners from 25 starters last year and is a top 10 New York sire of 2-year-olds, which includes stakes-placed winner Thorny Tale.
McMahon of Saratoga will host a stallion open house Jan. 19 from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
