California Chrome back at Taylor Made Stallions

Shuttle stallions California Chrome  and Daddy Long Legs  have returned to Taylor Made Stallions, where they will be available for inspection by breeders during an open house Dec. 18-19 from 1-4 p.m. each day. Breeders in attendance can see all the farm's stallions for the upcoming breeding season.

Kentucky breeders will be getting their first look at multiple group 2-winning millionaire Daddy Long Legs, who entered stud at Haras Cordillera before standing for one season in Florida. The son of Scat Daddy also stood in Chile for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, where he's followed in the steps of his sire by earning the title of leading freshman sire. His first crop includes group 1 winner Fallen From Heaven in his initial crop.

The 2019 Taylor Made roster is headed by two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome, who recently returned to the U.S. from Haras Sumaya Stud in Chile, where he stood the Southern Hemisphere breeding season. A seven-time grade 1 winner, California Chrome will have first-crop yearlings in the coming year. He covered 278 mares in his first two seasons at stud and saw multiple first weanlings sell for six-figure prices this year.

The farm's roster also includes:

  • Not This Time , runaway winner of the Iroquois Stakes (G3) and runner-up in the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). Not This Time had seven six-figure weanlings at the November sales, and he will have first yearlings in 2019.
  • Graydar , a grade 1-winning son of Unbridled's Song and a top-five second-crop sire of 2018 by number of winners.
  • Mshawish , Medaglia d'Oro 's only grade 1 winner on dirt and turf and his fastest dirt miler. He will have first yearlings next year.
  • Midnight Storm , a grade 1 winner by Pioneerof the Nile , will welcome first foals in 2019.
