Indiana Grand Approved for 120 Dates in 2015

Indiana Grand Race Course will offer 120 programs of Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing in 2015 under a schedule approved Nov. 17 by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
According to the schedule submitted by track owner Centaur Gaming, Indiana Grand will begin the meet April 21 and race through Oct. 31. Of the total dates, 114 would be for Thoroughbreds and six for Quarter Horses, though as usual some Quarter Horse races will be tacked to the end of Thoroughbred cards.
From April through August, live racing will be offered four days a week: Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 2:05 p.m. ET and Fridays and Saturdays at 5:05 p.m. Thursday racing, with a post time of 2:05 p.m., takes place July 16 and from Sept. 17 through Oct. 29.
The Indiana Grand calendar lists a new "Turf Festival" set for July 14-16.
Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, also owned by Centaur and now solely a harness track, was approved for 160 racing programs from March 27-Nov. 14 with racing five days a week (Tuesdays through Saturdays) and first post time of 5:15 p.m.
The Hoosier Park schedule is about the same as the one the track raced this year.
