Zanjabeel won the 2018 Lonesome Glory Handicap, a win that helped him earn the Steeplechase Horse Eclipse Award

Rosbrian Farm and Meadow Run Farm's Zanjabeel earned a pair of NSA-1 victories in 2018 and was second in NSA-1 and NSA-2 starts in four outings on the year.

That consistency, along with $265,500 in earnings, landed him the Eclipse Award as top steeplechaser over Jury Duty, who was awarded the NSA's top prize, the Lonesome Glory Award.

Zanjabeel, a 5-year-old British-bred gelding by Aussie Rules—Grain Only, by Machiavellian, was a five-length winner of the Calvin Houghland Iroquois Stakes at Percy Warner Park in mid-May under Ross Geraghty. He returned four months later to finish the campaign with a 1 3/4-length score at Belmont Park in the Sept. 20 Lonesome Glory Handicap with Jack Kennedy up. Zanjabeel is trained by Richard Hendriks.
