The first reported foal for 2015 Champagne Stakes (G1) winner Greenpointcrusader is a bay filly born Jan. 19 at Ocala Stud, where Greenpointcrusader  stands for $5,000.

The filly is out of St. Elias Stables' mare Waitingforaspark, a winning daughter of Bodemeister .

On the racetrack, Greenpointcrusader broke his maiden at Saratoga Race Course at 2 and then was a runaway 4 1/2-length winner of the Champagne for St. Elias Stables, MeB Stables, and Brooklyn Boyz Stables and trainer Todd Pletcher. After finishing off the board in the Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1), he returned the following year to finish second in the Lambholm South Holy Bull Stakes (G2). He retired with a record of 3-2-0 from nine starts and earned $473,300 from ages 2 to 4.

A $575,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, Greenpointcrusader is a 6-year-old son of Bernardini  out of the Cryptoclearance mare Ava Knowsthecode, making him a full brother to graded stakes winner Algorithms  and a half brother to grade 1 winner Justin Phillip , multiple graded stakes winner Keyed Entry, grade 3 winner Successful Mission, and stakes winner Alex's Allure.
