Making her stakes debut in just her third start, Tapit's Princess will face eight 3-year-old fillies, primarily impressive maiden winners, in the $150,000 Suncoast Stakes going one mile and 40 yards Feb. 9 at Tampa Bay Downs.
The daughter of Tapit made her season debut Jan. 17 at Gulfstream Park and romped in the 1 1/16-mile test over a fast track.
Tapit's Princess was a $500,000 purchase by trainer Happy Alter from the Cary Frommer consignment to The Gulfstream Sale last year. Bred in Kentucky by Rockingham Ranch, she is the second foal out of grade 1 winner Lady of Fifty.
Morning-line favorite Sweet Diane finished second in the one-mile Hut Hut Stakes at Gulfstream in her most recent effort Dec. 8 after running away to a 13 3/4-length maiden score, also at a mile, Sept. 28 at Penn National. The Will Take Charge filly is trained by Michael Stidham for Stallionaire Enterprises.
Anderson Stables' Lady Kate also jumps into stakes-level racing off her debut score for trainer Eddie Kenneally. The Bernardini filly, out of grade 1-placed Princess Haya, was a $485,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale buy.
Training at Palm Meadows, Lady Kate posted a five-furlong breeze Feb. 2 in 1:01 flat.
Winning Envelope has not raced since September but racked up two wins as a 2-year-old. The More Than Ready filly will race on dirt for the first time. She won on debut Aug. 11 by six lengths over Arlington International Racecourse's synthetic course, placed fifth in the seven-furlong Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes, and then won a one-mile optional-claiming allowance turf race by 4 3/4 lengths at Churchill Downs.
Trained by Chris Block for Lothenbach Stables, Winning Envelope breezed five furlongs in :59 flat Feb. 1 at Tampa Bay.
Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Stetson Racing's Point of Honor is another coming in off a six-length debut score in a 1 1/16-mile maiden race Dec. 16 at Gulfstream.
