Night racing at Turfway Park
With temperatures forecast in the single digits, Turfway Park has canceled live racing for Feb. 8.
The jockey autograph signing to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund as well as the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes have been rescheduled for next Friday. The Battaglia, a $75,000 race for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles is the track's prep for the March 9 Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3). The nine-furlong Jeff Ruby offers 20-8-4-2 points toward the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve (G1).
The track remains open for simulcasting. The Dollar Friday party also continues, with dollar drafts and hot dogs and local rockers DV8 in concert.
