Mohaymen's first foal is a colt out of the winning Tale of the Cat mare Taleoftheprincess.

Four-time grade 2 winner Mohaymen 's first reported foal is a colt born Jan. 29 at Hidden Brook Farm near Paris, Ky.

Bred by Danica Cochran, the colt is the first foal out of the winning Tale of the Cat  daughter Taleoftheprincess. The mare is out of the stakes winner Frost Princess, who is half sister to graded-placed stakes winner Bundling (by Believe It), stakes-placed Moony Moony (Cahill Road), and multiple stakes producer Good Lovin' (Smarten).

Mohaymen, bred by Clearsky Farm and raced by Shadwell Stable, got off to a fast start as a racehorse with an undefeated season at 2, which included consecutive wins in the Nashua Stakes (G2) and Remsen Stakes (G2). At 3, the son of Tapit  won the Lambholm South Holy Bull Stakes (G2) and the Xpressbet.com Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2). He went on to finish fourth in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), missing a placed finish by a head behind future Horse of the Year Gun Runner .

Mohaymen retired from racing with five wins from 13 starts and earnings of $998,417. Out of grade 1-placed, multiple graded stakes winner Justwhistledixie (by Dixie Union), Mohaymen is a half brother to grade 1 winner New Year's Day (Street Cry) and two other winners. The 6-year-old stallion stands at Shadwell Farm, where he entered stud at a fee of $7,500. He bred 121 mares during his first season at stud.
