The pace for Oaklawn Park's $100,000 Dixie Belle Stakes Feb. 16 figures to be quick, and a pair of 3-year-old fillies with outer posts appear to hold an edge.

The Dixie Belle, at six furlongs, drew seven, with four exiting the six-panel Letellier Memorial Stakes Dec. 22 at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. The winner of that race, Bell's the One, goes in the 1 1/16-mile Rachel Alexandra Stakes (G2) in New Orleans.

Scott and Evan Dilworth's Lady T N T smoked the early fractions in the Letellier before finishing fifth as the 5-2 favorite, and should see the front end in her Oaklawn bow. Joe Sharp trains the daughter of Justin Phillip , who was a $335,000 Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. March purchase. A maiden winner at Saratoga Race Course and allowance winner at Keeneland at 2, Lady T N T is out of the stakes-winning, grade 1-placed High Heeled Hope.

To her outside in post 6 is Nancy Vanier and Horseplayers Racing Club's Raintree Starlet. After breaking her maiden by eight lengths at Hawthorne Race Course Jan. 4 she shipped to Oaklawn to win a 5 1/2-furlong allowance optional claiming event Jan. 25 after prompting the early pace.

E Five Racing Thoroughbreds Unholy Alliance rallied from eighth to finish third in the Letellier for trainer Brad Cox. The two-time winner at Churchill Downs last year picks up Stewart Elliot as her rider and should enjoy a ground-saving trip from the rail.

Jerry Durant's Adventurous Lady makes her eighth career start in the Dixie Belle. Sixth in the Letellier, the daughter of Kantharos  was an easy winner of Remington's E. L. Gaylord Memorial Stakes last September and was a clear second in the Zia Park Princess Stakes in New Mexico in October.
