America’s Best Racing and DerbyJackpot team up to provide horseplayers with their best bets of the weekend in a regular feature blog that will run on Fridays.
Each week, one of our crack handicappers - Jose Contreras, Dan Tordjman, Victoria Garofalo or Cory Moelis – will provide at least one “Best Bet” of the weekend, ideal for a win bet.
The post also will include some combination of additional bets for the weekend.
For some posts, our handicappers will try to identify a longshot play of the weekend, a nice opportunity to swing for the fences on a win bet or to take a shot with a show bet.
Our handicappers also will look for strong exacta plays for the weekend or occasionally try to spot a nice opportunity to bet a trifecta or superfecta.
Place your bets at DerbyJackpot. It's the easiest and most fun online horse betting site out there. Races open for betting about five minutes before post time. Place your bets and you can walk away with some extra cash in your pocket.

This Weekend’s Bets
Saturday
Best Bet (Win Bet/ Monkey Bet)
Gulfstream Park, Race 4
#2 Time's Concern: This 9-year-old might just be in the best form of his career. After winning at 51-1 odds in August, he has just gotten better with each race. In his most recent race, he won easily while drawing away from the field. He should be able to get early position from the #2 post position here and be in prime position to win.
Exacta Box (Gonzo Bet)
Gulfstream Park,  Race 5
#1 Hay Oats and Water: A ridiculous 20-1 on the morning line, this horse took some money in his debut against a very solid field and ran well. He picks up top jockey Joel Rosario here and should improve second time out.
#2 Hoon: Coming out of the same race as Hay Oats and Water, Hoon has now run two good turf races since coming over to the United States from England. He's got a bullet workout on Dec. 8, so he should be in peak form to run well
#5 Yolo Kitten: Trainer Mike Maker and the Ramseys always make a dangerous team. After showing some late kick in his debut, Yolo Kitten proved that he likes the turf and has the talent.

Sunday
Best Bet (Win Bet/ Monkey Bet)
Aqueduct, Race 5
#6 Hurry Up Alan: This horse has run his best races on the dirt and he'll be on that surface here. He was claimed out of his most recent start by Sydney Dutrow, who has a good record when running first off the claim. He's stretching out here but has shown that he likes the distance.

Longshot Bet (Granny Bet)
Aqueduct, Race 7
#7 Bridgetta: She has good speed to get herself into good position early and a cozy outside post. She went a mile for the first time in her most recent race, and she had trouble at the break before rushing up and taking the lead at a fast clip. If she can slow herself down early, she could factor at a nice price.
