Mile Races Return Sunday to Fair Grounds

Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will begin carding one-mile races on the main track starting with the first race Dec. 12, in an effort to provide more options to horsemen.
Due to the layout of the dirt track, one-mile races will begin and end at the sixteenth pole in order to lengthen the run into the first turn.
The first race Sunday, with a 1:25 p.m. CST post, is a $5,000 claiming test for 3 and up with a field of eight.
