Andrew Cary is originally from Zimbabwe, where he grew up riding horses at a young age and reading the daily handicapping column in the newspaper almost as soon as he could read. After moving to the United States when he was 8 years old, he maintained his love of horses and Thoroughbred racing throughout his high school and college years and moved to Lexington to work full-time in the Thoroughbred industry in 2002.
