Rocky Policy in the Maryland Million Lassie Stakes Oct. 18 at Laurel.
Trained by Michael Trombetta, My Magician entered the Lassie with a pair of third-place finishes versus maidens at Laurel and Timonium to begin her career. Swinging five wide in the Lassie, the
Street Magician filly broke through for her first win with a good stretch run, denying Rocky Policy by a neck.
Rocky Policy, who entered the Lassie with two wins from as many starts for Robert Leaf Jr., reopposes Friday.
Kathleen Willier's Miss Bullistic faded to eighth in the Lassie after setting the pace through the first quarter mile. She rebounded for a nose win in the Donna Fryer Stakes at
Parx Racing Nov. 16 for trainer Hamilton Smith. That race marked the second stakes win for the daughter of
Bullsbay , who won the Selima Stakes Sept. 27 at Laurel.
The Elkstone Group's Sara Rocks has a 2-1-2 record from seven starts. She was sixth in the Lassie, then was claimed by her current owners for $25,000 out of a third-place finish Oct. 31 at Laurel. Prior to the claim, the
Rock Slide filly posted a 4 1/4-length romp in the Tri-State Futurity at Hollywood Casino at
Charles Town Races Nov. 8.
Also entered is D. Hatman Thoroughbreds and S Kingdom Bloodstock's
Pret Say Eye, a daughter of
Ready's Image who is winless in two starts but was runner-up against males in the Rollicking Stakes at
Pimlico Race Course in her most recent appearance in May.
