While Game Winner maintained his spot atop the NTRA Top 3-Year-Old poll despite his first career loss March 16 in a division of the Rebel Stakes (G2), the champion 2-year-old male's lead narrowed.
Game Winner finished second by a nose to Omaha Beach in one division of the Rebel at Oaklawn Park, while his Bob Baffert-trained stablemate Improbable was passed in deep stretch of the other division, finishing a neck behind Long Range Toddy.
The wins landed Omaha Beach at No. 5 in this week's rankings while Long Range Toddy checked in at No. 6, in a tie with Mucho Gusto—also trained by Baffert.
Five different horses received first-place votes this week: Game Winner, War of Will, Improbable, Code of Honor, and Mucho Gusto.
