Bulletin Aims to Stay Perfect in Palisades Turf Sprint

Bulletin wins the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs
Keeneland kicks off its spring meet April 4 with an eight-race card highlighted by the inaugural $100,000 Palisades Turf Sprint Stakes. Fourteen 3-year-olds are entered in the 5 1/2-furlong feature along with two also-eligibles.
WinStar Farm, China Horse Club, and SF Racing's Bulletin tops the field and will aim to keep his record perfect. The City Zip colt and Todd Pletcher trainee won his career debut in the Sept. 29 Hollywood Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park and followed that effort with another win in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs.
Jockey Javier Castellano retains the mount from post 12.
Making his 2019 debut, John Oxley's Strike Silver returns to the site of his Indian Summer Stakes success. The Mark Casse-trained son of Violence won the Indian Summer at the Palisades distance Oct. 7 before finishing a troubled seventh behind Bulletin in the Juvenile Turf Sprint.
Strike Silver will break to Bulletin's inside from post 11 and will partner with Julien Leparoux.
Others of note include Gladiator King (post 8), who upset the March 23 Hutcheson Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream and has two wins and a stakes placing on the turf, and the Wesley Ward-trained filly Chelsea Cloisters (post 13), second in both the Indian Summer and Juvenile Turf Sprint.
Yes I Am Free, Vivid Verse, Tobacco Road, Joyful Heart, Vogt, Real News, Hawaiian Noises, Abyssinian, Mick's Star, and Dom Carlos complete the field. Uncapped and Front Office are on the also-eligible list.
