HRRN Will Offer Radio Coverage of Big Derby Prep Races

Horse Racing Radio Network, the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, their schedule for Saturday's three major Kentucky Derby prep races.

The 2-hour broadcast, presented by Red Brand Fence, begins at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sirius 219/XM 201 with live streaming available on computers and mobile devices at www.horseracingradio.net

Coverage includes the 95th running of the Grade 2 Wood Memorial scheduled to run at 6:00 p.m. ET, the Grade 2 Toyota Blue Grass at 6:23 p.m. ET and the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby which is set for 7:15 p.m. ET.

In addition to the three Derby preps, the broadcast will include bonus coverage of Keeneland's Grade 1 Ashland Stakes for three-year-old fillies with a post time of 5:45 p.m. ET. HRRN president Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analysts Jude Feld and Abbey Huffman live from Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, KY.

Announcers Kurt Becker (Keeneland), Larry Collmus (NYRA/NBC) and Frank Mirahmadi (Santa Anita) will provide the race calls.

In addition to the race coverage Saturday afternoon, fans can get ready for big weekend by tuning in to HRRN's popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence, from 8-10 AM ET on Saturday morning.
