Lady Pauline at Keeneland

Fans of the incomparable Lady Aurelia are sure to be on the lookout April 5, when her 2-year-old half sister Lady Pauline makes her debut in a $60,000 maiden special weight at Keeneland

Bred in Kentucky by her owner, Stonestreet Stables, the daughter of Munnings  is out of the Forest Wildcat mare D' Wildcat Speed and is trained by Wesley Ward, who guided Lady Aurelia to group 1 success in the United Kingdom.

Lady Pauline is only the seventh live foal born to D' Wildcat Speed, who was empty in 2018 and produced a Medaglia d'Oro  foal Feb. 13. Facing 11 juveniles in the 4 1/2-furlong sprint, the filly will break from post 9 Friday with John Velazquez in the irons.

Campaigned for the majority of her career by the partnership of Stonestreet Stables and Peter Leidel, Lady Aurelia also made her first start at 2 at Keeneland and broke her maiden before shipping to the U.K., where she picked up her first group win in the 2016 Queen Mary Stakes (G2) at Royal Ascot. Her first top-level score came one start later in France when she took the Darley Prix Morny (G1) at Deauville before ending her freshman season with a third in the Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes (G1) at Newmarket.

Returning to the Lexington oval at 3, the daughter of the late Scat Daddy scored in the Giant's Causeway Stakes before heading back to Royal Ascot, where she achieved her second group 1 in the King's Stand Stakes and became the first American-trained horse to ever win a Cartier Award.

Lady Aurelia retired in 2018 with a record of 5-2-1 from 10 starts and earnings of $834,945. She was purchased in 2018 for $7.5 million by Stonestreet in a partnership buyout at The November Sale, Fasig-Tipton's selected mixed sale in Lexington, Ky.
