Feedback wins the Forward Gal Stakes at Gulfstream Park

After registering sprint wins in her first two starts, Klaravich Stables' Feedback will stick with one turn for her third start: the $150,000 Beaumont Stakes Presented by Keeneland Select (G3) April 7 at Keeneland.

The about-seven-furlong Beaumont for 3-year-old fillies has attracted a field of eight, with Feedback drawing the outside post for her Eclipse Award-winning connections of trainer Chad Brown and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr.

In just one start at 2, Feedback gave fans plenty to remember as the daughter of Violence  demolished a maiden special weight field at Saratoga Race Course, drawing off to an eight-length score in that 6 1/2-furlong test. Rested until Feb. 2, Feedback was ready off the bench for Brown as she won her graded stakes debut, gamely holding off Bye Bye J for a half-length score in the Forward Gal Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park.

Both efforts have been flattered a bit as the runners-up from each have come back to win their next starts. Bye Bye J won an optional-claiming allowance race March 14 at Oaklawn Park, and last year Takecharge Mirella scored her maiden win in her next start at Saratoga.

In a field with four other stakes winners and two other fillies who are stakes-placed, Feedback figures to be tested Sunday.

Trainer Bob Baffert will send out Mark Mathiesen, George Bolton, Barry Hall, Barry Lipman, and Andrew Molasky's Mother Mother, who won last year's Rags to Riches Stakes going the one-turn mile at Churchill Downs and placed in a pair of grade 1 tests. Mother Mother, a daughter of Pioneerof the Nile, cuts back to one-turn racing after finishing fourth to Bellafina in the Las Virgenes Stakes (G2) Feb. 9 at Santa Anita Park.

LNJ Foxwoods' Fancy Dress Party, perfect in three starts for trainer Ben Colebrook, enters off an easy win in her stakes debut—the Glitter Woman Stakes Jan. 5 at Gulfstream. The daughter of Munnings  scored her debut victory at Keeneland last fall, winning a maiden special weight race on a sloppy track.

Also entered off a stakes win is Bonne Chance Farm's Iva, who picked up her third win in four starts when she closed from sixth for a clear victory in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes Feb. 1 on the all-weather surface at Turfway Park. Trained by Wesley Ward, the daughter of Scat Daddy finished second to Bye Bye J in the House Party Stakes Dec. 8 on the dirt at Gulfstream.

Gary Barber's Power Gal, trained by Mark Casse, will look to bounce back from a seventh-place finish in the Honeybee Stakes (G3) won by stablemate Chocolate Kisses. Before that March 9 effort at Oaklawn, Power Gal won the Martha Washington Stakes there Feb. 2.
